The traditional timber frame roof offers durability, integrity
and beauty to any home. The trusses are made using traditional
mortise and tenon joints, with wooden pegs driven through
the joint. The wooden trusses can be made in either green
oak or Douglas fir and are generally finished with two coats
of finishing oil to show off the true character and warmth
of the timber.
Clients
and architects are welcomed to discuss the design of the
trusses with Clarke Cunningham and the craftsmen.
Beams, purloins and corbels are also provided where necessary.
